Nigami & Guy | Shy Custis & Coey Kuhn Nigami and Suzu were born to a crack whore [literally]; she abused them, mentally and physically, often even whoring the both out as well for extra drug money. Gami actually fought back, but his mother always found a way to overpower him. When he started to get big enough she couldn't beat him into submission physically, she'd threaten Suzu or found other ways to make him comply. Nigami's never really felt 'fear'; just anger and resentment. He remained 'sane' [but profoundly mentally unstable] for the first 16 years of his life. He didn't tip over into real insanity until their mother beat Suzu to death [she was 7]. He snapped, killing his mother and taking what was left of his sister away. He wandered to the condemned apartment complex in their neighbourhood, a place that him and Suzu took sanctuary in from time to time, and just never left. Gami keeps Suzu in a pristine, toy-filled room, and while didn't really see her as still 'alive', he just can't fully detach the 'idea' of Suzu from her body. So he pampers her, leaving himself [and eventually Guy] to live with the rest of the rundown buildings. He repairs her decaying body until she's just a skeleton held together by wire and tape inside potato-sack skin and sewn-on hair. He'd always seen the world as corrupt and sinful, but when he finally snapped that anger and disgust turned into outright hate. After the extreme satisfaction of killing his mother, he slowly started capturing other people he saw as 'bad', torturing then finally disposing of them [i.e. death] when he gets bored. He'll often find even the most remote action as death worthy just to give himself an excuse to take a target and get the satisfaction. Guy's an American that followed his best friend [and girl he's in love with] Sandy over to Japan, where she's a teacher. He barely even managed to get by, knowing hardly any Japanese and only able to land a small pizza delivery job for months after living there. This is how he got involved with Nigami. Guy has the misfortune to get lost making a delivery in Gami's neighbourhood one night, and asks the psychopath directions to the address. Which Gami lies to, saying it's his apartments, and shows Guy in. He originally captures Guy intending to, like usual, just torture and kill him. But he gets attached, keeping him longer and longer until looking at Guy as a 'pet', almost. At first, he's kept locked up in miscellaneous rooms [and sometimes lockers, closets and tied to radiators], getting more and more freedom to roam as he's gradually broken. Eventually, Guy becomes loyal to Nigami, a strange forced best-friend Stockholm-syndrome sort of deal. Guy roams about the house, often 'cleaning' and whatever else to pass time. Eventually, he finds Suzu and begins to take care of her, as well as looking after Gami [since he doesn't look after himself]. He even gets the freedom to leave the apartments after a few years since Nigami knows he'll come back time after time. Which he does, Guy having become so severely re-wired he wouldn't know what to do with himself without Gami or the buildings he's come to see as 'home'. Whether he likes it or not. Years pass. Guy and Gami regularly get into scuffs, 'playful' bouts of wrestling and torture for Nigami but the only form of retaliation Guy still has the will to act out. Guy quickly learns to leave Gami be when 'working', and if he hears screams just turns the opposite direction and walks away. He slowly discovers more and more things to life in the apartments; how things work here; places he's allowed to go, others he's not; puzzle pieces of Gami's past, reasons he's the way he is; finding Nigami's 'rooms' where he's set up things in a particular way or altered it. Clues as to what goes on inside Gami's head. [An example being the web room, where Gami's taken countless spools of twine and string he's found and just strung them from one point to another until the room is hardly even maneuverable.] Nigami becomes fond of Guy just the same, seeing 'Guy-pon' as one of the only few "good" people he's ever met. The two go on in this bizarre best friend/pet relationship for well over a decade, until one of Nigami's kidnaps gets loose, and ends up beating the shit out of Guy when he tries to stop him from escaping. This is the first time that one of Gami's victims actually hurts Guy, and it sends Nigami off the deep end. He and the victim get into an all-out brawl, in which the man gets a few good hits over Gami's skull with a hammer. Nigami ends up getting the upper hand and bludgeoning the victim to death, but then just stumbled back inside from the courtyard and dies right before Guy. Guy goes into complete denial of Gami's death and starts carting him around the house, and taking care of his body almost as Nigami did Suzu's. He eventually even begins to kill people from time to time, convinced on some level that it's still Nigami's victims. |
